More Payment Options Increases Conversions

Today I would like to give everyone a tip to help you guys increase sales. It’s actually something very simple that you probably did not think about or didn’t think it would have such an influance on your conversion rates.

From my marketing experience, the more payment options you have on your website the higher your conversion rates will be. I offer my prospects the option to pay using credit card (merchant account), 2CO, Alertpay, SafePaySolutions, Google Checkout, and Paypal.

You have to be careful with PayPal though. I don’t put the Paypal button on my website because I could risk getting my account shut down. I simply inform the prospects that if they wish to pay using PayPal then they need to contact me directly for instructions.

So what is the reasoning behind it? Well, you need to realize that some people might prefer one payment option over the other. Some people can’t use certain payment processors in their home country. In case of Paypal your prospect might have funds available in their account that he or she can spend. I had people signing up using Paypal just because of that reason.

So my suggestion to you is to offer as many payment options as you can on your website. It will increase your sales guaranteed. It’s proven!
